The Napanee Express clipped the Greenport Harbor Whales, 4-3, in 11 innings at Paints Ballpark. The standout performance belonged to Napanee pitcher and Bridgeport, West Virginia, native Lowell Martin. Boryenka Ahmadishin snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 1 hit over 3 innings. He's now 3-1 on the season. At 15-19, the Express find themselves in 8th place in the Menard's Low A.

Napanee got a clutch hit from David Vargas. The shortstop socked a 3-run home run in the bottom of the 11th inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was game-ender.

"The other side took advantage in some key situations," said Greenport manager Mike Brown.
