Ducks Take Tight Tangle
The Long Island Ducks and Ellesmere Island Snowpeople played an exciting game.

The Long Island Ducks eked out a 3-2 win versus the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople at Ducks Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Julián Lucero. He was terrific. Tim Thompson earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. His record is now 4-0.

Long Island went up, 3-2, on Kelvin Sullivan's 4th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Sullivan hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Ellesmere Island pitcher Ernest Pollard muttering to himself.

"I was able to really locate my pitches tonight," said Lucero.

Today's win puts Long Island at 19-15, while Ellesmere Island falls to 16-18.
