Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Moose Jaw Canucks and Bethlehem Angel Kitties.

The Moose Jaw Canucks got a stellar performance from pitcher Joe Woolsey, who handcuffed the Bethlehem offense en route to a win, 3-0, at Foresters Stadium. Woolsey yielded no runs over 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 1, and struck out 5. His record improves to 4-3. Earning his 5th save of the year was Arturo Pérez.

In the bottom of the first, Moose Jaw catcher Gerrie van de Bergh whacked a curveball to left for a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season put the Canucks in front, 2-0.

"It was just a matter of executing," said Moose Jaw manager Ismael Barrios.

With the win, the Canucks sit at 19-16.
