The Flint Crush polished off the Memphis Music by the score of 6-4. The largest share of the credit belonged to first baseman Isko Alog. Alog was 3-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Crush. Flint now sports a record of 22-13.

The Music had been locked in a 3-3 tie with the Crush going into the top of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 19-year old shortstop César Velázquez came to the plate. Velázquez hit a 2-run home run on a 2-0 fastball from Memphis hurler Don Finley. It was Velázquez's 3rd home run of the year.
