New Orleans third baseman Jorge Valdés played a vital role in his team's 6-5 conquest of Hollywood. He went 3 for 5 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs for New Orleans. The defeat makes the Shredders 5-11.

The Voodoo nabbed the win, in part because of designated hitter Eric Small. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered the game-winning run-scoring single.
