Medina slugs 2 home runs to Ignite Harbor Whales Offense
The Greenport Harbor Whales defeated the Capital Hill Interns, 6-0. Second Baseman António Medina deserved a large share of the credit. Medina went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Harbor Whales. Fernando Rodríguez earned the win, while 19-year old right-handed pitcher Jorge Santana took the loss for Capital Hill. Greenport now has a record of 22-15 with the win.

Khaled Asukile said the idea of hitting a home run barely crossed his mind when he came to bat in the top of the seventh. Asukile belted a solo home run to stake Greenport to a 1-0 lead. His 7th home run of the season came off Capital Hill pitcher Jorge Santana.

"I just tried to put the barrel on it," said Medina.
