Sea Dogs Win 4th Straight, Take Down Beavers, 7-4
Maine and Ballard got after it at Sea Dogs Park.

The 7-4 Maine win over Ballard was due in large part to Scott Patterson. The Sea Dogs shortstop was 2-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. Patrick Cook, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save.

Patterson contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Maine in the bottom of the sixth. With his team trailing 4-1, Patterson took a fastball from Jeremy Foster and stroked the home run to left. His 9th home run of the season allowed the Sea Dogs to leap in front, 5-4.

"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Patterson. "You've got to get results."

The Sea Dogs, at 28-10, lead by one game in their division.
