The Long Island Ducks topped the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople, 7-3, in M3L Low A action at The Igloo. The standout performance belonged to Long Island pitcher and San Bernardino, California, native Gary Mosley. Tomás Silva nailed down his 2nd save. The 9th-place Snowpeople now sit at 16-23.

Long Island used a well-timed hit by Scott Kimsey to capture the win. The second baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Ducks ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.

"Good pitching stops good hitting," said Mosley. "And vice-versa."
