The Long Island Ducks got a sterling performance from pitcher Jesús Hernández, but the Greenport Harbor Whales still prevailed, 6-3. Hernández threw 6.0 innings of 4-hit ball. Miguel Ortíz snagged the win in relief. He goes to 2-2 on the season. Tim Manning suffered the loss. The win elevated the Harbor Whales to 20-20.

Greenport got a knockout punch from Mickael Leconte. The first baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"It feels good to get this one," Leconte told the Greenport Observer.
