Gators Fall Short, 6-5, at Capital Hill
|
The North Ft. Myers Gators got a sterling performance from pitcher Marcos Costa, but the Capital Hill Interns still prevailed, 6-5. Costa came in in relief and pitched to 17 batters. Today's win puts Capital Hill at 23-18, while North Ft. Myers falls to 22-19.
Making an impact for the home team was Raúl Migoya. In the bottom of the second, the top prospect had a run-scoring walk. That made the score 2-0, Interns.
Capital Hill manager Evan Groenevelt was pleased with the team's effort. "It was just a good, gutsy performance by everybody," he said.
