Paige Dominates Beavers in 4-0 Shutout
|
The Northwest Territory Beavers struggled at the plate against Toros hurler Franklin Paige, who shackled them on 1 hit while hurling a complete-game 4-0 shutout.
"What can you say? We didn't hit well," said Beavers skipper Robert Acker in postgame comments. "Hopefully we shake this off and bounce back tomorrow."
Paige finished the game with 3 strikeouts and 1 walk in an excellent mound performance.
"He pitched real well," Tijuana manager Milton Mathews said. "Franklin made pitches when he had to. He hit his spots and did a great job of mixing in his changeup and using his fastball effectively."
This season, Paige has compiled a 4-2 record with a 2.77 ERA.
