Ogallala Earns 4-3 Win
|
The Ogallala Octopi downed the Ballard Beavers, 4-3, at Nebraska Aquarium. The Octopi were led by Tom Milsom. Milsom was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. With the victory, the Octopi record stands at 19-23.
In the bottom of the ninth, with one out and the game tied, 3-3, 20-year old second baseman Jiu-ling Dun won it for Ogallala. With runners on 1st and 3rd, Dun hit a 1-0 fastball from Stewart Holman for a run-scoring single, giving his team the 4-3 win.
"Great to get the crowd on its feet," Dun said.
