García, Interns Get 8-1 Win
|
At Foresters Stadium, the Moose Jaw Canucks and Capital Hill Interns were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
The Moose Jaw Canucks had their hands full with Capital Hill Interns starter Cipriano García, who frustrated Moose Jaw hitters while leading Capital Hill to a comfortable, 8-1 win. The win makes Capital Hill 19-24.
García, the winning pitcher, goes to 3-4 on the season. In 8 innings, the left-hander limited the opposition to 1 run on 1 hit, while recording 7 punchouts. García and the Interns were able to cruise to victory.
"Cipriano is pitching with a lot of determination and a lot of fire," said Capital Hill manager Kyu-cheol P'yo.
