Downward Spiral Continues for Napanee

The Napanee Express extended their losing streak with a defeat by the Capital Hill Interns.
Capital Hill turned a good effort from starter Oscar Milledge into a win over the Napanee Express at Paints Ballpark. The final score was 5-1. The winner was Milledge. He threw 7.2 innings allowing 1 run. The loser was Rod Cole.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Ron Donovan? The 20-year old center fielder Donovan stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put Capital Hill up, 5-0. For the game, he was 2 for 5, including 1 double and 1 single.
"I can only hope we've hit rock bottom," lamented losing manager Dan Bond in postgame remarks.
The Express, at 15-28, have lost 11 straight games.
