Losing Streak Continues for Canucks with 2-1 Loss to Baby Blues
|
Quebec City and Moose Jaw played a hard-fought contest.
Quebec City Baby Blues starter Hou-kang Wu found his groove in his team's 2-1 win over the Moose Jaw Canucks. Carl van Bekenes was credited with the save for Quebec City, his 1st of the season.
Alfredo Gómez, who is tied for 5th in the 3A- in doubles with 13, had a direct impact on the outcome. Gómez contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the fifth inning to put Quebec City up, 2-1.
"We need to step it up, period," said an agitated Moose Jaw manager Ismael Barrios.
The 11th-place Canucks have lost 10 straight games.
