|
The Capital Hill Interns weathered an outstanding game by Moose Jaw center fielder Hai-liang Tse to topple the Canucks, 5-3. Tse went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Today's win puts Capital Hill at 20-24, while Moose Jaw falls to 10-34.
Tied up with the Canucks in the top of the fifth inning, the Interns got a boost from catcher José Carbajal. With the bases loaded, Carbajal saw a 1-2 curveball from Uku Willa and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put Capital Hill on top, 3-2.
"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Carbajal.
