Toros Ballpark was the site of a tense game between the Tijuana Toros and Ellesmere Island Snowpeople.

The Tijuana Toros wasted an impressive 8.1-inning effort from starter Chet Reyes, falling, 2-1, to the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople in 10 innings at Toros Ballpark. Gabriel Gómez, credited with the win in relief, is now 1-1. He allowed no runs on no hits in 0.1 innings. Alberto Gómes was called on to finish, recording his 5th save.

Runs were hard to come by in this one. Jason Barker's at-bat with one out in the top of the tenth, therefore, was critical. The Ellesmere Island right fielder grounded out, driving in 1 run, to put his team on top, 2-1.

"It was terrific getting this win," Barker said. "We put in a lot of work to do it."

The Snowpeople improved to 11-34.
