Baby Blues Take Tight Tangle
Tom Holland did all he could to help his team prevail. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Flint Crush from losing the game, 7-6, to the Quebec City Baby Blues in 10 innings at Dylan Park. Holland went 3 for 5 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The win went to Harald Berendsen in relief. His record improves to 1-2. Greg Bradford took the loss. The 9th-place Baby Blues now have a win-loss record of 18-27.

Up to bat in the bottom of the tenth, Esteban Martínez wanted to seize the moment and deliver a clutch hit. Flint pitcher Greg Bradford had other ideas. He wanted to end the Quebec City rally. What happened next? With one out, Martínez hit a sacrifice fly -- and the Baby Blues erupted in celebration.

"Winning is the only thing that really matters," Martínez told the Quebec City Today. "If you can win without even breaking a sweat, more power to you."
