Despite a great performance by Quebec City center fielder Ken Moore, the Napanee Express defeated the Baby Blues by the score of 6-4 at Paints Ballpark. Moore was 4 for 4 with 4 singles. The winning pitcher was 19-year old right-handed pitcher Eugene Brown. He tossed 90 pitches over 8 innings, allowing 4 runs on 11 hits. The victory gives the Express a record of 26-20.

Napanee designated hitter Rauno Korpi contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With two down, he hit a splitter to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 45th hit of the season and put the Express ahead, 6-4.
