Getting a good performance from center fielder Don Prince, the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople defeated the North Ft. Myers Gators, 5-0. Prince went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times for the Snowpeople. Ellesmere Island has now won 3 in a row.

Andrés Vega had a big run-scoring triple for the Snowpeople in the bottom of the third inning. With Ellesmere Island leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from 18-year old left-handed pitcher Tom Horton and swatted a triple to right. It was his 3rd triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Snowpeople ahead, 2-0.
