The Bompton Baby Lakers did just enough to sneak past the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople, 5-4, at The Igloo. Bompton pitcher Dermot Bibby, in particular, had a standout performance. Bibby picked up the win for Bompton, going 6 innings. He gave up no runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 2-5. Lieh Guang picked up the save, his 9th.
Bompton used the clutch hitting of Kel Horton to capture the win. The left fielder drilled a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to give the Baby Lakers the lead, 4-1. For the game, Horton had 1 single and 1 double in 3 at-bats.
