Long Island Nets 8-7 Win Versus Interns
The Long Island Ducks downed the Capital Hill Interns, 8-7, in 10 innings at Ducks Park. John Pierpoint Morgan led the way, going 3-for-4 for Long Island. Long Island reliever Tim Manning picked up the win, upping his record to 1-2. Pedro Puglisi was saddled with the loss. The win puts the Ducks at 31-18, while the Interns drop to 22-27.

The Ducks got a clutch hit from first baseman Bill Vázquez. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Ducks.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said Long Island manager Cody Blackburn.
