The Greenport Harbor Whales picked up a win at Ballpark of Wellsville, topping the Ladue Rams, 5-1. On the mound for Greenport was right-hander Bhu Aguillo. He played a principal role in the triumph. In 7 innings, Aguillo surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 0. He allowed 1 run. Greenport is now 28-22, while Ladue is 22-28.
Greenport needed the clutch hitting of Tamuramaro Kimura to notch the win. The third baseman hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Harbor Whales on top, 5-1. For the game, Kimura had 1 home run and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.
