Sullivan Excels, But Canucks Win
|
Despite a fine performance by first baseman Randy Sullivan, the North Ft. Myers Gators lost to the Moose Jaw Canucks, 10-6. Sullivan went 3-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. The winner was Nobuyoki Nii in relief. His record improves to 2-2. Zee-loo Dee took the loss. With the win, the Canucks are 13-37.
Daniel Roux contributed to the Moose Jaw win with a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth. For the game, the shortstop had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 5 runs batted in.
"Win or lose, we always try to grind it out and stay even-keeled," Roux said in reaction to the win.
