Beavers Defeat Baby Blues, 6-5

Though he had a stellar game, Pedro De La Torre could not prevent his team, the Quebec City Baby Blues, from losing, 6-5, to the Ballard Beavers. De La Torre went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. Ballard reliever Manny Cruz snagged the win, upping his record to 1-1. Carl van Bekenes shouldered the loss. The first-place Beavers have a record of 31-20.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. With the game tied in the bottom of the tenth, an error by the Baby Blues allowed the Beavers to score the winning run.
"The house was rockin'," said González.
