Capital Hill took on Moose Jaw in front of a lively crowd.
Moose Jaw had no answer for 18-year old right-handed pitcher José Delgado. The Capital Hill Interns starter stymied Canucks hitters, helping the Interns cruise to victory, 7-1. Delgado, now 3-5, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 5, walking 2, and allowing no runs.
Capital Hill used the hitting of Yue-jiu Khoo to pick up the win. The shortstop clubbed a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Interns on top, 1-0. For the game, Khoo had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"I felt good. I felt like I was locating the ball well and I was able to keep them off-balance," said Delgado.
The last-place Interns improved to 20-31.
