The Ellesmere Island Snowpeople took on the Napanee Express at Paints Ballpark.

Edward Margaret pitched a gem to lead Ellesmere Island to victory over the Napanee Express, 5-1. Margaret, now 3-3, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 3, walking 1, and allowing 1 run.

Tied up with the Express in the top of the fourth inning, the Snowpeople got a boost from catcher Francisco Rosa. With the bases loaded, Rosa saw a full count fastball from José Salazaro and hit a 2-run single to break the stalemate and put Ellesmere Island on top, 2-0.

"Edward did a heck of a job," said Ellesmere Island manager Rodrige Margalha.

The victory makes Ellesmere Island 16-37.
