Mike Carney, who is rated as the 52nd best prospect by BNN, never let the Express get in a groove. The left-hander used his bread and butter, his cutter, to pitch the Baby Blues to a win, 2-0. Bill Carson notched his 8th save of the season. Quebec City is now 30-23.

Quebec City used a well-timed hit by Francisco Hernández to capture the win. The catcher socked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Baby Blues ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
