The Greenport Harbor Whales picked up a win at Dodge Field, downing the North Ft. Myers Gators, 8-4, in 10 innings. On the mound for Greenport was right-hander Bretislav Smaczny, who played a pivotal role in the win. With the win, Greenport has a record of 28-25. North Ft. Myers falls to 25-28.

Wladimir Wemerman came through with a big-time hit for Greenport. The right fielder smacked a grand slam home run in the top of the tenth inning to give his team the lead, 8-4. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
