Baby Blues Squeeze Out Win in Pitching Duel
|
In a tight tilt between Quebec City and Greenport, pitcher Toby Sweet was a key contributor. The right-hander earned accolades for his standout performance in the 1-0 Baby Blues win. Quebec City currently is in 9th place in the Menard's Low A at 22-32.
In the bottom of the second, Emílio Romero delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and a runner on 2nd, the Quebec City third baseman hit a run-scoring single, putting the Baby Blues in front, 1-0.
"We just didn't score enough runs to win," said Greenport manager Mike Brown.
