Greenport and North Ft. Myers got after it at Dodge Field.
Plorn Dickens, who is tied for 8th in the 3A- with a 1.04 WHIP, was terrific for the Greenport Harbor Whales in his team's 8-0 triumph over the North Ft. Myers Gators. His performance earned Dickens rave reviews. Greenport is now 29-25.
Dickens earned the win, going 7 strong innings for Greenport. The native of London, England, allowed just 1 hit, while striking out 7. North Ft. Myers hitters did next to nothing against the right-hander.
"Winning never gets dull," said Dickens.
