The Capital Hill Interns and Ballard Beavers completed their game despite the rain.

The Capital Hill Interns defeated the Ballard Beavers, 9-3, at The Beaver Dam. Demy Karlier was a standout performer for Capital Hill. His 4 hits included 3 singles and 1 double -- this in addition to the 1 run he scored and 1 he knocked in. Bernardo Velásquez picked up his 1st save of the season.

The Interns got an important contribution from right fielder Jack Grimes, who in the top of the sixth punched a 1-0 slider to center for a 2-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Interns ahead, 7-3.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Kyu-cheol P'yo said.

The second-place Beavers now sit at 32-22.
