The Montana Pandas stopped the Detroit Rock City, 7-3, at Panda Park. The Pandas got a big game from Ty O'Toole, who went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Alex Wilson, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 12th save. Montana raised its record to 25-24 with the win.
Ken Ervin had a big 2-run double for the Pandas in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Montana leading 3-2 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from 31-year old right-handed pitcher Johnny Flannery and swatted a double to center. It was his 9th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Pandas ahead, 5-2.
"We take it day by day here," said O'Toole, "and today was a good one for us."
