Flores Leads Ballard to 3-1 Win
|
Ballpark of Robbins was the site of a competitive game between the Greenport Harbor Whales and Ballard Beavers.
In a low-scoring contest, Ballard pitcher Rafael Flores was marvelous, enabling his team to nab a 3-1 win. Travis Davis collected his 2nd save.
Greenport could barely put a dent in Flores. The right-hander tossed 100 pitches over 8 innings for the Beavers, allowing only 4 hits.
"Rafael attacked hitters and trusted his stuff," said Ballard manager Giddy Potts.
Ballard is 34-23 and Greenport, with the loss, 31-26.
