Beavers Suffer 2-0 Home Defeat
|
Gerald Tate propelled his team to victory over the Ballard Beavers. The final score was 2-0, Moose Jaw. Nobuyoki Nii closed it out for his 1st save. The victory makes Moose Jaw 17-41.
Moose Jaw used the timely hitting of Sacha Heerland to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Canucks on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"That's a solid team effort right there," said Heerland. "Everyone's feeling positive after that win."
