The Long Island Ducks knocked off the Tijuana Toros, 4-2, at Ducks Park. Bill Vázquez was a big reason Long Island won. The designated hitter went 1-2 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. James Harrell recorded the save, his 3rd. With this game in the books, Long Island is 37-22, Tijuana 37-22.
Vázquez had a timely hit for Long Island in the bottom of the sixth. With Long Island trailing 2-1, he turned a first pitch fastball into a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season, making it 4-2, Long Island.
"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Vázquez told the Long Island Herald.
