Quebec City center fielder Jeff Huffman was sensational. He was 3-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Plattsburgh beat the Baby Blues, 5-4. Plattsburgh pitcher Sam Frey earned the win, hiking his record to 2-0. Kei-thing Kuang suffered the loss. Ron Jewell, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 22nd save.

Plattsburgh took advantage of an error in the bottom of the eighth inning. The game was tied, 4-4, when Don Kirby hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put the Puffer Fish in front, 5-4.

"You need to show up when your number's called," said Kirby.

The Puffer Fish lead the Menard's Low A by 5 games.
