6-3 Loss to Interns Extends Tijuana Losing Streak
|
The Capital Hill Interns relied on the hitting of pinch hitter Jesús Bañuelos to stop the Tijuana Toros, 6-3. For the game, Bañuelos went 1 for 1 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. John Willis closed the door for Capital Hill, picking up his 10th save of the year. Tijuana is in the throes of a 20-game losing streak.
Bañuelos had a timely hit for Capital Hill in the bottom of the seventh. With Tijuana trailing 3-1, he turned a 1-1 fastball into a 3-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season, making it 4-3, Capital Hill.
"This losing is getting old," said Tijuana manager Ricardo Ruíz.
