The Ballard Beavers eked out a 3-2 win versus the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople at The Igloo. Nobody did more than pitcher Rafael Flores. He was terrific. Flores got the win, improving to 5-3. He gave up 6 hits and walked 0 over 8 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Travis Davis picked up the save, his 5th.

Denzel Vale, who is rated as the 23rd best prospect by BNN, had a timely hit in the top of the fifth inning. With two out and the bases loaded, the Ballard right fielder hit a run-scoring single. That put the Beavers in front, 2-1.

"We had the right guys up at the right times," said Ellesmere Island manager Gary MacHardy. "We just didn't cash in."

With the win over Ellesmere Island, the Beavers improved to 37-26.
