Knud Sterner pitched a gem to lead Ellesmere Island to victory over the Bompton Baby Lakers, 4-1. Picking up the save was Steven Cowan, his 11th. With the win, the Snowpeople are 21-43.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Cristo González? The Ellesmere Island third baseman had a 2-run single in the top of the second inning to put the Snowpeople on top, 2-0. For the game, González had 1 double and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.
