The Moose Jaw Canucks picked up a win at Foresters Stadium, topping the Long Island Ducks, 4-3. On the mound for Moose Jaw was right-hander Thierry Mary. He played a principal role in the triumph. Moose Jaw has now won 3 in a row.
Ciudad Bolívar, Venezuela-born Pepe Gonzáles came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the eighth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd and the Canucks trailing 3-2, he hit a 2-run single to left to put Moose Jaw on top.
"I felt good up there," said Gonzáles. "I saw the ball well."
