The Flint Crush, despite a fine performance by Ladue pitcher Casey Gallagher, grabbed a 1-0 win in 10 innings at Ballpark of Wellsville. Gallagher allowed no runs over 8 innings. Ken Leach closed the door for Flint, picking up his 20th save of the year. The 11th-place Rams dropped to 27-39.

The most important at-bat for Flint came in the top of the tenth inning, when catcher Steve Everett stroked a 0-2 fastball to center for a run-scoring single, putting Flint up, 1-0.

Flint manager Michael Woodard commended his team for exhibiting "no shortage of effort."
