Loovens Spins Gem for Quebec City
|
The Quebec City Baby Blues and North Ft. Myers Gators played a tight game with the hosts claiming a hard-fought win.
In a tightly-contested game between the Quebec City Baby Blues and the North Ft. Myers Gators, pitcher Wendel Loovens was outstanding. The Quebec City right-hander propelled his team's 2-1 win. The Baby Blues win now puts them at 38-28.
Loovens earned the win to move to 3-3. In his 8.1-inning performance, he scattered 2 hits, striking out 9 and walking 0. The right-hander allowed the Gators few scoring opportunities.
"Obviously, you want to go out there and be good every time out," said Loovens. "I take the ball every day with the same mindset."
