Interns CF Crownover goes 4-for-4 in Win
The Capital Hill Interns topped the Ballard Beavers, 7-5, with youngster Dametrius Crownover playing a key role. Crownover was 4-4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Interns in the win. Yu Zhan, now 4-1, was credited with the win in 2.1 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit, while striking out 3 and walking 0. Seghada Niyangabo earned the save, his 1st.

In the top of the seventh, 20-year old third baseman Nick Kelly delivered for Capital Hill. That's when he belted a 2-run home run, putting the Interns up, 7-5. It was his lone hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a climactic one.

"It wasn't our best performance," said Kelly, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."

The Interns improved to 32-34.
