Ladue and Greenport played a hard-fought contest.

The Ladue Rams got a good effort from starter Joe Weber in defeating the Greenport Harbor Whales at Ballpark of Robbins. The final score was 3-1. Ladue pitcher Enrique Oliva got the win. He's now 2-1. Ángel García was tagged with the loss.

José Ramos came through with a big-time hit for Ladue. The left fielder smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 3-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

Ladue manager Ricardo Varela called it "a darn good win."

With the win over Greenport, the Rams improved to 28-39.
