Vincent Wood pitched well, but his team, the Napanee Express, still dropped a 2-0 decision to the Moose Jaw Canucks in 10 innings at Paints Ballpark. The win went to Ángel Vega in relief. His record improves to 4-0. Vincent Wood took the loss. The triumph puts Moose Jaw at 36-31 for the season.

Moose Jaw used the timely hitting of Troy Palmer to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Canucks on top, 1-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We made a couple of mistakes," said Napanee skipper Dan Bond, "and it cost us."
