The Plattsburgh Puffer Fish defeated the Capital Hill Interns, 5-1, at Alouettes Ballpark. Leading the charge for Plattsburgh was second baseman Nick Fortey. He was 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The last-place Interns have lost 8 straight games.

Plattsburgh used the timely hitting of Cisco Alvarado to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Puffer Fish on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"We came in and did what we needed to do," said Plattsburgh manager Allen Carlson.
