The Pittsburgh Kingfishers and Mexico City Blue Demons provided some drama for the home crowd.

The Mexico City Blue Demons defeated the Pittsburgh Kingfishers, 5-4, at Pittsburgh Grounds. Leading the charge for Mexico City was left fielder Shintaro Hagi. He went 2-3 with 2 singles and 2 walks. The winner was Bhagavan Antle, who threw 109 pitches over 7 innings. The left-hander was charged with 4 runs on 10 hits. Leonard Dennis collected his 14th save.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Jesús Soto? The 28-year old second baseman Soto stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put Mexico City up, 4-2. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
