A 5-RBI performance from Iwane Tanaka helped the Greenport Harbor Whales beat the Long Island Ducks, 8-3. Plorn Dickens got the win, improving to 4-2. He held the Ducks to 3 runs on 5 hits over 6.1 innings, while striking out 2 and walking 3. Ramón Cesina closed out the game, earning his 1st save.

Greenport took control in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and runners on 1st and 3rd, Leonard Kawhi hit a run-scoring single to make it 4-3, Harbor Whales.

"I just tried to make good contact," said Tanaka.

The win gives Greenport a season record of 42-29.
