Capital Hill Falters Again, Loses, 2-0, to Bethlehem
|
Kittie Park hosted an old-fashioned pitchers' duel.
In a low-scoring affair between the Bethlehem Angel Kitties and the Capital Hill Interns, pitcher José Esquivel was the difference between victory and defeat. The Bethlehem right-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 2-0 Angel Kitties win. Esquivel picked up the win for Bethlehem, going 6 innings. He gave up no runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 6-3.
Denny Townsend had a critical at-bat with one out in the bottom of the sixth for Bethlehem. He came through with a run-scoring double to put Bethlehem in front, 2-0.
"We're learning some lessons in the school of hard knocks," philosophized losing manager Kyu-cheol P'yo.
The losses continue to add up for Capital Hill, having now dropped 8 straight.
