Ellesmere Island pitcher Miguel Izabel had a large part in his team beating the Napanee Express, 2-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The winner in relief was Enrique Flores. He is now 1-2. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. The Snowpeople sport a record of 24-49.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Snowpeople had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the seventh, when shortstop Evan Cannon hit a run-scoring single. The single came off William Elliott and made the score 2-1, Snowpeople. Cannon was 2 for 4 with 2 singles.
