Gators Win at Home, 2-1
|
North Ft. Myers registered a win at Dodge Field by beating the Napanee Express, 2-1. Pitcher Art Lamplighter was one reason why the Gators triumphed. The winner was Lamplighter. He threw 7.0 innings of 2-hit ball. The loser was Greg Creswell. At 33-40, the Gators claim 10th place in the Menard's Low A.
North Ft. Myers took control in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Marcos Herrera hit a run-scoring single to make it 2-1, Gators.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Herrera said.
